Notes: | Montauk Manor developer Carl Fisher purchased the entire peninsula of Montauk... hence the 10,000 acre claim not a misprint. A large scale developer he created visions of entire cities. Fisher may have went bankrupt but his vision lived on. Montauk now has 3000 MONTAUK HOTEL ROOMS in the once sleepy town and has truly became a vacation / resort area. Cheers to Fisher, he brought us the Montauk we all know and love. Montauk Manor is a testament to the era of endless possibilities as seen in all of the GOLD COAST MANSIONS built during the start of the Industrial Revolution. |
