About this site

GoldCoastMansions.com has been online since 2002. It began as a visitor’s guide to the North Shore estates and grew into a record of the Gold Coast Mansions, the families who built them, and what became of each one.

Every entry carries its sources. Where the record is thin or sources disagree, the entry says so. Corrections and additions are welcome through the contact page; if you have photographs of a Mansion, especially one that is gone, we would like to see them.

The site is free, carries no advertising, and is published on Long Island.
